What kind of snacks will you be providing my child?

May I bring food for my child and will you help feed them?

 

Yes, you may bring food but the "director" of the center will be checking the food to ensure no peanut products are brought into the facility.  We have tables around the center for the children to eat at and we also have a "quiet" room if they prefer some peace and quite.  For the younger children, a staff member will be assigned to feed them.

 

Will you change diapers?

 

Yes, we will change diapers.  We ask that you provide a diaper bag at the time of check-in but just in case we will have some for emergencies.  We also ask that you bring a change of clothing just in case of accidents.

 

What if my child falls asleep?

 

We will have cots available in the "quiet room" for children that fall asleep or just want to lie down.

 

How do you handle a child that is out of control or having a temper tantrum?

 

All of the staff members have years of experience dealing with young children and the method that we choose to use is "re-direction" or "distraction".  If that does not solve the problem then the child is possibly hungry.  If permitted by the parents, snacks and juice will then be given to the child and hopefully a happy tummy will make way for a happy demeanor! 

 

How is the center sanitized?

 

We will only be using environmentally safe cleaning products at Antsy Pants.  The entire center will be cleaned every evening and during slow times throughout the day.  Anti-bacterial hand gels will not be used in the centers but we will have alcohol-free, hypo-allergenic baby wipes throughout the play area.

 

How secure are you?

 

This is the main priority here at Antsy Pants.  We will have 4 security cameras running at all times of operation that records directly to a DVR.  Each parent and child will be wrist banded with matching identification numbers which is not to be removed until check-out.

In case of emergency, where the parent is unable to pick up the child, the "emergency backup" person listed on the information card will be called.
A fence will prevent the children from running out into the mall and there is one gate that can only be opened and closed by an Antsy Pants staff member.   Only staff members are allowed in the actual play area.
Both Southwest Plaza and Colorado Mills are located right by mall security and Lakewood Police offices for added protection.
Before staff members are hired, extensive background checks are run to ensure the safety of the children.  All "directors" of the centers have first aid and CPR certifications.

 

How convenient are you?

 

Since we are a drop-in child care center, no reservations are ever needed.  We are open 7 days a week to serve you!  If you happen to be using our service for shopping, we also have stroller and bag storage so you can be completely hands free!

 

What days are you closed?

 

Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. 

 

Do you charge an enrollment fee?

 

No!  The parent just needs to fill out the child's information card and sign the parent's agreement form and you are set!  This just has to be done on the initial visit.  After that just give us the child's name and we will pull the information up in our system and you are off to enjoy your free time!  We do ask that if there are ever any changes to the information card, please let us know at the time of check-in. 

 

Will you bill me or do I pay when I check-out?

 

Payment is due at the time of check-out.  We accept cash or credit cards.

 

 

What do you charge for multiple children?

 

$6 an hour for the 1st child, $4 an hour for the 2nd and 3rd child and if you have more than 3 the rest are free! 

 

What happens if my child is sick?

 

We will not accept any children that are sick with fever, discharge from the nose and coughing.  If there is just a clear running nose then the child will be accepted or a cough with no other symptoms.

 

What if I am running late?

 

If a parent fails to pick up a child at the agreed upon time, a late charge of $2 per minute will be assessed.  If the parents fails to pick up their child by closing time (either 9PM Monday through Saturday or 6PM on Sunday) a $25 late fee will be assessed. 

 

Will you allow personal blankets, toys or pacifiers to be brought into the center?

 

We do not prefer it but we understand that the child may need her/his special belonging. If that is the case, please remember to bring a bag for the child so we may place the item in it to prevent loss. 

 

Do I have to stay inside of the mall?

 

NO!  Since we are a fully licensed child care facility, you may utilize us however you want.  We are just located in the mall for convenience...whatever your purpose is for child care, your kids will be safe and having a blast with us!
